Flint Eats 2.4.1

Flint Eats is a mobile application developed collaboratively by researchers at Michigan State University and community members in Flint, Michigan. The application was crafted with four key objectives:

1. To enable residents of Flint to exchange information about the quality and pricing of food offered by Local Food Retailers.
2. To facilitate the sharing of cooking tips and nutritional knowledge among Flint residents.
3. To give local retailers in Flint a platform to promote budget-friendly, nutritious food options to the community.
4. To establish incentives for food vendors in Flint to supply healthy, top-notch products in welcoming and easily accessible settings.

Flint Eats features a user-friendly map interface that displays the locations of all local food outlets, ranging from farmer’s markets to corner stores. Additionally, it offers a social feed where users can engage in discussions and share various food-related content such as promotions and advice. Subsequent updates will include features like reviews and recipes. Furthermore, the application boasts a reference library where individuals can expand their knowledge about food items and retail destinations within Flint.
